The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries website to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The service level established for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
